- Congestive heart failure; nonhypertensive: 7.3%
- Septicemia (except in labor): 5.1%
- Pneumonia (except that caused by tuberculosis or sexually transmitted disease): 4.8%
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchiectasis: 4.2%
- Cardiac dysrhythmias: 3.8%
- Urinary tract infections: 3.1%
- Acute and unspecified renal failure: 2.9%
- Acute myocardial infarction: 2.8%
- Complication of device; implant or graft: 2.6%
- Acute cerebrovascular disease: 2.5%
Notes: Percentage is of total Medicare readmissions in 2011.
