  1. 61% talk about what would happen at the visit
  2. 31% promise to get a treat after the visit
  3. 26% have them play with a toy medical kit
  4. 23% read a book or have them watch a show about going to the doctor
  5. 22% don't do anything special to prepare their child
  6. 21% tell the child there wouldn’t be any shots
