The Journal of Pediatrics: 5 Things to Know About Adolescent Access to PCMHs

- Overall, 91% of US adolescents had a usual source of care, but only 51% had access to a PCMH.
- Hispanic adolescents had 0.56 lower adjusted odds of having a PCMH compared with white adolescents.
- Black adolescents had 0.55 lower adjusted odds of having a PCMH compared with white adolescents.
- Those living below 4 times the poverty level had lower adjusted odds of PCMH access than other adolescents.
- Adolescents with 3-5 special health care needs had 0.43 lower adjusted odds of having a PCMH compared with adolescents without any special health care needs.
